Alexandra Kivowitz
A practicing psychotherapist for most of her working life and a closet writer all of her life, Alexandra Kivowitz, PhD, grew up in New England and never really shed its sense of place, of its flora and fauna, or its mores and cadences. The inspiration for trying to bring a nineteen-fifties progressive childhood to life in fiction came from having, over the years, known adult survivors of the McCarthy period.
She lives in southern California with her husband Charles and a part-time dog named Maple. Eavesdropper is her first novel.
