Ronald-Stéphane Gilbert
Born into a New England family of Québécois descent, Ronald-Stéphane Gilbert is a retired publishing and global marketing professional, who, after a career involving much travel, now leads a blissfully quiet life in the suburban Midwest. Conversations with My Mother is a fictionalized story of his mother’s gentle but persistent descent into dementia, and his family’s attempts to both adequately care for her and to recognize and respect what remained of her personality even as it disappeared. It is his first published novel.
